First Day

First day back to the mill. I spent about 15 minutes in the office, and one hour at the clinic.
Pissed in a jar, signed some forms, and verfied that yes, I did have a pulse.

They'll call me when the wiz quiz comes back in a couple days. In the meantime, I'm getting paid.

Being a Bear's fan, you obviously don't need to be a rocket scientist on the job; but how confident are you in your physical condition right now. I hope you'll be baby-stepping it for a while.

i'm confident enough to know that my disability payments ran out last nite.

they all know how messed up i was,
(I stopped in to visit during month 5, and they almost didnt recognise me) so i'm not expecting any rough treatment.

i'm looking pretty healthy now, though.

Glad to hear you're doing well enough to go back to work. For reference, here's how long it actually takes to get results on a urine test for drugs:

2 seconds.

No kidding, I watched the lady process my sample. She took a little card (dope, meth, cocaine, opiods, something else) and knew I was clean that quickly. Dip, look, done.

I wonder how much extra people are paying because they don't know how simple the tests really are.

those are prelim tests.
they can show false positives.

we used to use them, and them send the sample out to a lab for a 100%.

now, we just bypassed that and went to the full thing.

Sorry you had to go to work, but glad you are feeling up to it.

As the others said - glad you're back to capacity... but I hope you don't do too much too soon. Take care, Gino.

Robi1 - out.

I have a friend who is a cop... used to be a probation officer. When he worked probation one of his jobs was to watch suspects do their drug tests.

Lots of blog entries about watching people pee. It was amusing. At least for job stuff they don't usually watch you.
