I think he lost me with "Crocodile Rock"

I was going to say he lost me when he got to "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," but you're probably right, Tully.

As far as I can tell, Jesus is still pretty big with some people.

As the Byrds and the Doobie Brothers say, Jesus is just alright with me.

He's certainly not aging well (EJ, not JC). I really liked his early stuff, from Tumbleweed Connection, Honky Chateau, Madman Across the Water, Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player; on through Good-bye, Yellow-Brick Road. Caribou and Captain Fantastic had some good songs but with Rock of the Westies everything seemed to turn dreck-ward. That's probably too harsh since he has had some very nice songs for movie soundtracks, but I haven't bought one of his albums in probably 35 years (can we both be that old?). Still, his little-known song "60 Years On" is one of my favorites of his.
