Because It's Cool When they Do It

On the drive home today, I hear that the two cops involved in the mucho reported  Murderous Rampage/Attempted Murder of two newspaper carriers have been placed on 'leave', and an investigation is being done.

'Leave' means: 'With Full Pay, Zero Work'

This was an act of attempted murder with out due process.
Yet, it took one full week for LAPD to do the very minimum that every other citizen assumes should be necessary the very moment  that Attempted Murder took place...

Look at that pic. A blue Toyota masquerading as a Grey Nissan Titan.
Yup, they must have asked for it, if you ask me...

"Investigation" means... stalling for for time while we do what we want... for ourselves...
Media be damned...
as in 'Fuck Y'all'...
It's how they roll...

As for the under-reported act of Attempted Murder immediatley following the first ( Honda truck, masquerading as a  Nissan Titan)... crickets.

crickets.

Get that.
Fukin crickets

Like I said, it was under-reported... easily ignored, never happened, yeah...

Gee, why do Los Angeles peeps (and by inclusion, Gino) dis the cops so much????

Fuck Tha Police, Yo!
We roll that way for a reason....

Because...
Ya know...
It's a close-knit family, like They said...

The blue line is powerful strong.

Elsewhere, someone complained about the dearth of black cops (here in a city with not that many black people). I pointed out that 1) there are plenty of black cops in cities with plenty of black people, and 2) the color that tends to matter most is actually blue.

Even in a strong "blue line" culture, one would hope that the police would realize that an officer who just shot someone--especially an innocent--needs to take some time off to recover mentally, even if they bear no fault in the matter. Here in MN, any officer who shoots anyone goes on administrative leave immediately.

And this case? Not doing this for guys who shot at the wrong make, model, color, and size of vehicle and hurt people of the wrong race, gender, age, and size opens them up to much nastier action in civil court.

We are talking serious stupid on the part of the LAPD here.

Here's a beautiful, horrific picture of the LAPD.

Mark Fuhrman makes a mistake and claims to have not used a racial slur when he had in fact done so. End result; felony conviction.

Two LAPD cops shoot innocents of the wrong race, gender, size and age in the wrong make, model, size, and color vehicle; paid time off after a week of considering.

Now I'm not against convicting officers of perjury, mind you, but it says something about priorities, don't you think?

It does say something about the priorities which the LAPD seeks to project. A large part of what Dorner was claiming as justification involved the racism of the LAPD towards black officers and citizens. Examples included his allegations of being termed as a N***** on more then one occasion and the lack of discipline involved afterwards.
Dorner also justifiably was upset by the fate of the officers from the Rodney King beating, who are now in positions of authority over other officers.

The blue line is maintained, the pretense of correctness can be used in some cases as cover.
